Sales, Service, Installation and Customer Service— our employees take pride in their work and that’s evident in the results—happy customers. Attention to detail and follow-through is the normal way we do business. Rest assured, when work is performed at your residence, your home will be treated with the utmost care.
When you visit one of our Design Centers, you can expect to meet an experienced Design Consultant who is there to assist you with your project. And service after the sale is available to keep your appliance running to its optimum for years to come.

Because of the importance of safe and proper installations, our installers acquire training and certification through the National Fireplace Institute for fireplaces and stoves, as well as through the National Association of Technical Excellence for heating and cooling. Our expertise in the business has allowed us to do training presentations at national conventions, insurance companies and fire departments, covering such topics as “Consequences of Poor Installations” to “How to Run a Business”.

Top Hat Heating and Cooling is a Bryant Medal of Excellence Pinnacle Award winner, the top level award given out by Bryant. To win the award, you need to be a factory authorized dealer and have won Bryant’s top Medal of Excellence award five times. There are presently nine Pinnacle dealers throughout North America, which puts Top Hat in the top 1% of dealers. The Medal of Excellence award is based on customer satisfaction and overall business excellence in the marketplace.

Top Hat has been hired by many of the top insurance companies in Wisconsin to investigate how house fires occurred from faulty hearth products and installations as well as faulty chimney systems. These investigations and reports have helped resolve how and why fires and damage occurred. When lawsuits were needed to resolve these cases, Top Hat has been hired to testify in court to help resolve these cases.

Based on over thirty years of experience in the industry, teaching at National Hearth Product conventions, doing hundreds of house fire investigations and teaching insurance underwriters and adjusters throughout the United States, Top Hat was commissioned to write curriculum and teach Wisconsin building inspectors about gas, pellet and wood burning fireplaces and stoves, as well as chimney and venting systems. In all, about 1,000 building inspectors throughout Wisconsin were able to attend and learn about these subjects.
